๐Ÿข Who is Harmoni Housing Finance Corporation?

Harmoni Housing Finance Corporation (HHFC) is Malaysia's designated national housing finance corporation, established to deepen the secondary mortgage market and widen access to affordable home ownership. Operating under the oversight of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), HHFC serves as the primary conduit between Malaysia's financial institutions and the country's housing finance capital markets.

HHFC purchases conventional and Islamic mortgage assets from over 60 financial institution partners, including banks, development financial institutions (DFIs), and cooperatives, and issues debt securities and sukuk to fund these purchases. Since inception, HHFC has issued over RM 250 billion in bonds and sukuk, and currently manages a mortgage portfolio exceeding RM 90 billion.

In addition to its core mortgage purchase activities, HHFC operates the Mortgage Guarantee Programme (MGP), which provides housing finance guarantees for borrowers who require additional credit support to access home financing.
